Flower Planter Program
As part of the Village’s beautification efforts, the Beautification Committee offers opportunities for businesses and residents to participate in the "Enhancing Montgomery's Beauty" Flower Planter Program each year.
In our ongoing efforts in “Enhancing Montgomery's Beauty,” the Beautification Committee is pleased to announce a flower planter program with options for both residents and businesses. This program maintains elements of our popular Business Planter and Adopt-a-Box programs.
Friend of the Village - $30 (New Sign) $25 (Reuse)
Each summer the Mill Street Bridge is lined with beautiful flower boxes – here’s your chance to have your name displayed next to one of those boxes as a supporter of Montgomery’s beautification efforts. For your donation you can have your family name, business name, or personal message printed on a 4” x 22” sign which will be displayed along the Mill Street Bridge. Please note: addresses, phone numbers and political ads are strictly prohibited.
Mayor’s Choice - $135.00 (for Montgomery businesses only)
Beautify your business with the eye-catching Mayor’s Choice arrangement. For your $135 donation you will receive a professionally designed deluxe flower arrangement consisting of a variety of colorful and appealing annual flowers and decorative vines planted in a large, approximately 30-inch tall planter and delivered right to your office. Additional planters are available at a discounted price of $110 each. To show our thanks for your support of our beautification efforts, your family name, business name, or personal message will be printed on a 4” x 22” sign which will be displayed on the Mill Street Bridge. Quantities are limited. And again, addresses, phone numbers and political ads are strictly prohibited.
Planters are designed and prepared by the floral professionals at Schaefer’s Greenhouse in Montgomery and are delivered to your business—all you do is water and enjoy! The planters remain on display for the entire summer into early fall; at that time, the Department of Public Works will retrieve the planters for winter storage.
Bridge signs are a 4” x 22” sign with a maximum of two lines with 20 characters and spaces per line available. Signs are placed between flower boxes along the Mill Street Bridge in the spring and taken down in the fall. All signs are stored for future use and cannot be sold back to participants of the program.
Orders for the flower planter program must be received by May 1, or until all spots are filled, whichever occurs first. Applications received after May 1 cannot be processed. Planters will be delivered by June 12.
The order form for the flower planter program is now available; questions can be directed to Renee at (331) 212-9044.
