[ARCHIVED] Water Conservation Restrictions are in Effect

water sprinkler

While allowing the sprinkler to run for either work or play may sound tempting, the Village is reminding all users of Village’s Ordinance #1250, which regulates water usage from May through September. Landscape watering (except new sod and seeded turf lawns) or the filling of swimming pools (50 gallons or more) is allowed from 6:00 am-9:00 am and 6:00 pm-9:00 pm on the “odd/even” basis—addresses that end in an even number may be watered on even-numbered calendar days and addresses that end in an odd number may be watered on odd-numbered calendar days. From July 1 through August 31, use of water from the Village system to water and establish new sod and seeded turn lawns is prohibited. Please refer to the complete ordinance found in the public works section of this website; violations of this Ordinance may be subject to a fine.
