Montgomery Village President Marilyn Michelini is seeking a Village resident interested in serving on the Montgomery Police Pension Board of Trustees.
Michelini said requirements for the position are as follows:
• Attend four Police Pension Board Meetings. Meetings typically are held at 11:00 a.m. on the second Wednesday of Jan, Apr, July, and Oct.
• Attend 32 hour Certified Trustee Training Program.
• Attend additional training seminars or conferences.
Michelini estimated Pension Board Members spend approximately two hours attending meetings each quarter. The Board is made of 5 members, two police officer participants, two appointed by the Village President, and one retired police officer. Trustees work with the Pension Fund’s Manager on investment decisions and administer the benefits on behalf of the plan’s members. The Village is looking for a volunteer with financial investment background.
