[ARCHIVED] Montgomery Announces 2014 Recycling Events

The Village of Montgomery hosts monthly recycling collection events at 10 Civic Center Avenue in front of the Montgomery Police Department from 9:00 a.m. until noon on the third Saturday of each month.

The recycling events help residents dispose of electronics and other recyclables that are not currently collected curbside. During the event, you can bring electronics (anything electrical that plugs in), all types of batteries, textiles, metal, books, and removable media (VHS tapes, CDs, floppy discs, etc.) to the recycling event location to help keep these items out of landfills. The textile recycler will take anything made of fabric or leather. This includes not only clothing, but bed sheets, towels, blankets, sleeping bags, curtains, shoes, purses--anything made of fabric or leather.

Please note that these recycling events will not accept paint, fluorescent light bulbs, car fluids or tires.

Please call (630) 896-8080 ext. 1114 with any questions.
