All activities will kick off with Santa's arrival at approximately 5P. Stroll up and down River Street and enjoy free hot chocolate, cookies, crafts, giveaways, view the Festival of Trees, and enjoy live music performances (indoors and outdoors). This event is for holiday lovers of all ages!
Location:

Village Hall (200 N. River St.)
- Visit with Santa
- Listen to the Oswego East Tri-M Honor Society
- Enjoy acapella singing from Oswego East High School
- Stroll the building and view the Festival of Trees submissions from local community groups and businesses
- Stop in the Multi-Purpose Room for free crafts and write a letter to Santa with the volunteers from the Rotary Club of Montgomery

Atrevete Confections (216 N. River St)
Stop by Atrevete, take in the smells of their delicious pastries, and grab a free 6oz hot chocolate or splurge on one of their custom coffee creations!

Gray's Mill Estate (211 N. River St.)
- Stop in Danny Boy's and pick up your free cookie bag to nibble on while you stroll
- The restaurant and bar will be open this evening. Make reservations in advance if you want to stay for dinner!

Farmers Insurance- Ryan Watson (109 N. River St.)
- Meet Ryan and his family out front to pick up your festival glow giveaway

Montgomery Economic Development Corporation & Best Homes Fox Valley (200 Webster St.)
- Swing into the MEDC & Best Homes Fox Valley to enter the Kids Coloring Contest*
- Kids 12 and under can color onsite or take their pages and crayons home and bring their entry back before December 13 to enter to win prizes
*Kids Coloring Contest submissions will be on display at Village Hall throughout December

River Street Stage (centrally located near the VFW Post 7452 Parking Lot)
- Listen to live performances from Nicolson & McDole Elementary School students
- Enjoy carols from local singer Grace and the students of Oswego East High School Jazz Ensemble
- Sing along with The Festival Singers (professionally strolling caroling group)
- Get festive in the street with holiday music by local DJ Tony
- Stroll River Street to see trees decorated by the River Street businesses and event sponsors

Tree Lighting & Visit with Santa

The longtime Montgomery tradition, the annual tree lighting at Village Hall, is getting a makeover this year. The Tree Lighting & Visit with Santa will take place at 5P on Sunday, December 5, in front of Village Hall (200 N. River St). The event will feature Santa, giveaways, musical performances, and the unveiling of the Festival of Trees which will run through December 30 at Village Hall and along River Street.

The annual Tree Lighting & Visit with Santa event will kick off the activities on Sunday, December 5, with Santa’s grand arrival on the Montgomery-Countryside Fire District fire engine promptly at 5P down River Street. This year Santa will not just be lighting the Village tree, but an additional 25 trees along the street, many decorated by local businesses and organizations. Santa will head indoors at Village Hall for visits and pictures, along with the Oswego East Tri-M Music Honor Society who will perform in the Board Room for those waiting in line or looking to warm up from the outdoors. In addition, guests can watch live musical performances from local Nicholson and McDole Elementary School students and enjoy professional strolling carolers, the Festive Singers, on the stage along River Street. 

The businesses of 100-200 Block of North River Street are joining in the festivities this year as well. Guests can wander to Atrevete Confections (216 N. River St.) and pick up a free cup of hot chocolate. Gray's Mill Estate (211 N. River St.) will be handing out cookies, Farmers Insurance – Ryan Watson (109 N. River St.) will have glow giveaways for kids. Best Homes Fox Valley & Montgomery Economic Development Corporation (200 Webster St.) will be open for a Kid's Coloring Contest! Kids can color their entry onsite or pick it up to be dropped off at a later date. Other businesses and organizations, such as the Rotary Club of Montgomery, will be onsite in the Village Hall Multi-Purpose Room with giveaways, crafts for kids, and letters to Santa.
